Missed Connections in Brooklyn, NY
The Only Reason ….
The only reason people hold onto memories so tight
is because memories are the only things that don’t change
when everything else does…
Her Two Cents on The Only Reason
This lovelorn Brooklyn poet expresses a sentiment that many of us have felt – the in an ever-changing world the past remains a constant. Or does it? The drawing by Kate Masback reminded me of a map of the NYC boroughs – with a flux of streets and property lines and random doodles illustrating the thoughts and lives of the various inhabitants over the decades.
Gentle Readers: While the past cannot be re-done, our memories can be altered over time. Has there ever been a time when you looked at a memory with a fresh set of eyes and saw it differently? Was that a positive or negative experience?

Isn’t it wonderful? All of the artists featured on Lovelorn Poets license their work through Creative Commons on Flickr. Some folks are full-time artists and others aren’t but regardless of how/when/why they create, it’s all pretty wonderful!
