Missed Connections in Hudson Valley, NY
Seems like forever…
Seems like forever….
Since I’ve heard or read the slightest peep from you.
For some reason, I have this intuition that all is not well in your life at the moment….
I wonder and worry about what it may be.
I absolutely still care…
you are daily in my thoughts and prayers….
you made a heck of an impact in my life in a short period of time….
all that we shared in those few months is still fresh, untarnished and bright…
The merest message, the smallest tangible hello….
would go a long way….
yes, I understand the restraints…understand, but find it hard to agree….
you and your trusted friendship are far to valuable to me to have set aside for this long.

Her Two Cents on Seems Like Forever…
Our Hudson Valley poet is standing at the pier waiting for the return of their true love. While in a perfect and just world communication would be open and honest between two people, in this case it seems one half of the party has set out for distant shores, never to return. Cast your net again, fisherman, there are other fish in the Hudson River.
Gentle Readers: There’s a song where the lyrics go something like… “Yeah, the waiting is the hardest part” (if you’ve spent any time in the car listening to classic rock radio you know this song by heart). But how long should one wait for the return of their love? Is it, as Tom Petty sings, the hardest part?
