Missed Connections in Seattle, WA
Darkness
I have never been afraid of the dark.
And, there was a time that I preferred it.
Years and events have revealed to me
that what exists in the darkness
only has merit
if it can also be experienced in the light.
Risky….yes.
Tenderness and joy come in the knowing it’s you.
Note from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle Finder: Today we’re featuring three special messages from our Northwest Pacific poets. I love this image by Alexandre Normand! The contrast of the dark limbs against the multi-color blur is simply candy-like!
Her Two Cents on Darkness
The investigation of the interplay of darkness and light is as old as… well, let’s say since the time that our brains were able to comprehend such things. Our Seattle poet appears to be at the intersection of these two forces and is discovering the beauty and charm of what a life in living color is all about. Let’s hope it’s a delicious feast for all the senses.
Gentle Readers: Dark and light are seemingly total opposites and yet each has a very appealing and seductive nature. At different times in our lives we may prefer one over the other with obtaining balance between the two rather difficult. Which do you prefer to embrace? Can you balance both sides successfully?
