Missed Connections in Boston, MA
Another Poem
Right here at my window
Wish I could be by your side
But you’re too shy for me to ask you
So I’ll just dream and you’ll walk by,
bye
Will you stop?
no
Then there’s no happiness
Will you receive the kiss
If I deliver it?
You’re the best of the best I’ve seen
I’ll sing it again and I will sing
It’s a simple dream
You’re simply sweetness.
Her Two Cents on Another Poem
Our lovelorn Boston Poet has set their sights on a shy guy or gal. Afraid to proclaim their feelings (now who’s the shy one?) each day passes with the object of their desire walking away from them. For some reason this message makes me thinks of a letter carrier for the mail seeing someone on their daily route who scurries past when they say hello. Hopefully one day they’ll get up the nerve to give a greeting in response.
Gentle Readers: While I envisioned an interaction between a letter carrier and a person who walks the same route, this message could also be about many other types of people – a waiter or waitress, a delivery person, a ticket taker… Who do you think these two people are?
