Note from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle Finder:
It’s been a little while since I’ve had a message from the Asheville MC, but this one does not fail to disappoint! While I’m not sure if waiting for a traumatic brain injury to befall the competition is a wise investment of time, the message does make a good point about the importance of wearing a helmet when riding a bike. Thanks for the reminder!
Missed Connections In Asheville, NC
I Can Wipe My Own Ass
to the woman riding her bike on riverside this morning.
you were riding with a guy who did not have on a helmet.
he was chatting away, wearing his billed cap.
now i just finished watching the tour de france, on one stage almost half the riders went down.
best bicyclists in the world fell.
now your boyfriend may be better than all those guys, but at some point he is going to fall.
he will receive a traumatic brain injury, TBI for short.
when he does you might stick around for a while, but then you are going to want a guy who can wipe his own ass.
call me.
Au Coeur says
Hahahahahahahahah! Is all I have to say. That, and, we always wear our helmets – intact skulls are way cooler than brains on the sidewalk.
Becky says
I always get so worried about my friends who bike around Chicago. Even if they do wear helmets, many drivers don’t pay attention to bikers and hit them anyway. It’s terrible. Most people I do know who bike in the city have been hit at least once, which is why I don’t do it…

Becky and Au Coeur, I totally agree with you – people who bike in urban areas with lots of traffic have to be a little crazy! This is the first MC of this kind that I’ve seen – there’s always some “you look so hot on your bike” type posts but this one was very funny and unique (which is what we try to do here…)
