Missed Connections in Ann Arbor, MI
Morning Constitutions
we trimmed fat for fun
choking with sweat
it was exhilarating at best
the twists the turns the awkward positions
the bends the dips, rolling with punches
they called it narco-terrorism
we called it reverse rodeo clown
with the windows open
it was always short and sweet and lest i forget
it was the never ending weekends
and everyday is your birthday
it was patty cake with the bakers man
it was exhilarating at best
what i miss the most is something that i cannot miss
connections are meant to be temporal
anything constant is a lie, all dreams must die
let’s not pretend
Her Two Cents on Morning Constitutions
Here’s another mystery poem MC that I just wish I could get my head around and decipher! My favorite bit, “they called it narco-terrorism we called it reverse rodeo clown…” What exactly does that mean?? One thing I do understand though is that, “connections are meant to be temporal,” so I’ll have to assume that the rodeo left town and the clowns went their separate ways.
Gentle Readers: This piece does have a few references to baking and cooking which leads me to wonder about our romantic relationships and food preparation. Do you enjoy cooking with your significant other? What is it that you enjoy (or don’t)? Do you think that being a good cook is a sexy or appealing mate-trait?
