I’ll admit that I had to search on “oryctolagus cuniculus” (just to know what it meant, never mind how to pronounce it…) and I was very pleased to discover that it was the term for “common rabbit.” The paper cut image by Patrick Gannon captures all the mystery of the rabbit but without any of that Easter bunny commercial cuteness.
Gentle Readers: It’s interesting that some people use animals to describe or illustrate their personal relationships. We’ve had no shortage of dog messages featured here, as well as the occasional cat post, but this is the first MC reference to rabbits that I’ve come across. If you were to identify yourself or your love interest with a particular creature, what would it be?
