Missed Connections in Washington, DC
Everyday I think about you.
I know it’s best that I just move on, but I can’t seem to.
I miss reading with you and cooking with you.
I miss outdoor breakfasts and the cold weather and lazy Sundays.
I miss meeting you on a bench near the metro.
Things weren’t perfect, but I think they were worth saving.
Someday I’ll tell you all this.
I love you and I miss you.
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
Today we’re featuring three messages from the Washington DC missed connections stream. It’s a real hit or miss kind of place but once in awhile I stumble across some writing that pulls at the heart-strings. The accompanying photo by Alan Levine asks the question at the root of all these messages – Aloneness or Loneliness? Which is the more difficult to adjust to?
