I Miss You
Missed Connections in Jersey Shore
I know you didn’t see me, but I saw you this afternoon.
You were dragging leaves to the street.
You’re the only woman I know that is sexy even when she’s disheveled, worn out, with stray leaves on her.
You almost fell into the pile.
I wrote to you awhile back but you didn’t answer me so I guess you’re still angry with me or moved on.
Not a day goes by that I haven’t thought about you.
I’m a fool.
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
I love the composition of this photo by Patty O’Hearn Kickham – the play between detail and blur is gorgeous and the leaf shape is almost human-like. After a summer of fun, the Jersey Shore is littered with leaves, lonely hearts, and regrets. Will our lovelorn poet handle their fall with the grace of autumn leaves? The answer remains unclear…
