Brown Raccoon Hat On The 148 Southbound
Missed Connections in Chicago
I saw you hop on the 148 this morning, at one of the Clarendon stops. I must say… you were the prettiest thing! Caught my eye right off the bat. What I liked most, besides your very nice hat, was that you were smiling when you got on, and continued to smile as you made your way to the seat you chose. And you have such a beautiful smile. I might be so corny as to say it melted my heart.
When you stood up and got off at Delaware, I noticed you were smiling again. For a short while, I considered doing the type of thing straight out of a movie – running off after you well before my stop… but would you have seen that movie as romantic, or a scary thriller, about stalkers and such?
Unfortunately I wasn’t provided a chance to say hello and tell you that I liked your hat. I was in the very back, while you ended up in the middle. Perhaps I will see you again. Either way, you should know that you owned my heart for 20 minutes.
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
What an awesomely fun missed connections message from Chicago! Ever wonder what it is about some people that starts up the magnetic attraction force field? Sure, looks may be involved, but fascination is about something deeper, more mysterious – the cute hat is just the signal flare that grabs our attention (not unlike this sweet photo of Pinky by Yu-Cheng Hsiao – what a beautiful pair of eyes!).
