Silver Minivan Driving Wrong Way on Angell
Missed Connections in Rhode Island
You were driving a silver mini van with a license plate “I SORRY.”
You started to do a u-turn on a one-way,
one-lane portion of Angell St., at Diman Pl.
I signaled to you that Angell is one-way westbound,
and you acknowledged this,
then deliberately turned left anyway,
driving into oncoming traffic.
Let’s meet at the DMV sometime.
Ever been there?
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
Driving a minivan in no way indicates a proclivity for lite-rock or “Barney Sings Songs About Brushing Your Teeth.” Bad-drivin’ Dad or Motor-Mamma was probably crankin’ some classic rock tuneage post-school drop-off and in their guitar solo delirium totally forgot that Angell Street has only been one way for the last hundred years. “I Sorry” that KISS can’t seem to retire, too.
