Saw You Picking Your Nose on 4th S
Missed Connections in Salt Lake City
You were parked on 400 South yesterday, sitting in your car alone, waiting in the left turn lane at State St. I was heading downtown from the U after a day at school, and I was admiring the way you were singing in the middle of traffic, like you didn’t have a care in the world. As I watched your smiling lips move I wondered what song you were singing, and I thought to myself, “That is definitely a girl I would like to meet. We might hit it off. And if not, great friends we would be.”
And then it happened. In the middle of your beautiful sing-a-long, amidst the lunchtime traffic, you stuck your index finger up your nose and went digging for gold. Grossed out? Just a little, but I’m very intrigued about meeting such an attractive woman who has so few worries in the world that she engages in automobile karaoke and booger mining.
