Small Pumpkin, Big Missed Opportunity
Missed Connections in Brooklyn
In this very moment of honesty, I must write that I have never posted here before.
However, today I feel compelled by regret.
There was not much in the way of eye contact, yet I felt an absolute energy between us which should have been addressed.
Unfortunately, for all the attempts I could have made, I seemed to be slunk in an inertia I don’t really understand.
You have an unbelievable natural beauty, the kind not often seen in New York, and you had a small pumpkin in tow.
Your eyes are a liquid brown, and your plaid shirt reminded me of someone I knew on the west coast, though I cannot remember whom.
We live in the same neighborhood.
It would be an absolute shame if I never saw you again.
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
Happy Halloween! Today I thought I’d curate three messages with a holiday theme. While this missed connection from Brooklyn is mainly about a person holding a pumpkin, I thought it fit perfectly with Stefano Corso’s photograph. Orange is so closely associated with Halloween and the solo figure in black brought to mind our poet who now wishes they had spoken out.
