To the Guy Who Took My Call for a Parking Ticket
Missed Connections in Portland, OR
Yesterday morning I had to start the day with a call to the Oregon Dept. of Rev to pay of my outstandingly large parking ticket.
It must suck being on the other end of those calls; maybe I caught you on a good day or you have yet to be embittered by the system, but you were extra servings of awesome and nice.
I’ve learned my lesson and probably won’t be calling your department again, but I just wanted to give you a virtual fist bump for laughing at my awkward jokes.

Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
Having to deal in any way, shape, or form with state or municipal agencies is probably on the universal top 3 list of most dreaded things to do. Really, who EVER looks forward to going to the DMV? However, our Portland poet raises an interesting point – what if more people said how much they appreciate good customer service when they receive it? Could collective friendliness change the system?
