Through the end of the year I’ll be digging into the Lovelorn Poets missed connections archive and publishing some of the gems you may not have caught the first time around – enjoy!
When I Knew I Loved You (between space & time)
Missed Connections in Philadelphia
originally published on October 3
When I knew I loved you.
When I watched you paint.
I’ll always be here.
For you.
For nobody else but you.
NOTE FROM THE MISSED CONNECTIONS CHIEF BOTTLE FINDER:
Today we’re featuring three missed connections from Philadelphia – the city of brotherly (and sisterly) love. The Philly feed came alive this summer with a flurry of messages outside the standard solicitations and uninspiring pick-ups. The closing line of this post reminded me of Lou Reed / John Cale’s “Nobody But You” – which was also written about a painter. Just remember your experimental hypothesis, poet: daydreams are dangerous.
