Missing You
Missed Connections in Washington, DC
I have never ever seen you but we have been talking for a very long time.
We have so much in common, sometimes it defines destiny.
You told me that our souls loved for lifetimes before, otherwise what we have would not make sense.
I never believed in destiny, until you found me.
There is so much you haven’t told me.
So much we haven’t discussed and as usual agreed on.
So much left to do, experience and laugh about.
You once told me that you are forever changed and forever mine.
I miss not hearing you laugh, I hope you know I’m sending you kisses wherever you are.
You know how to find me if you want to feel them.
I will always love you.

Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
“I have never ever seen you…” The start of this message grabbed my attention and it made me wonder, is our DC poet blind or are they referring to a person they have only spoken to over the phone or corresponded with online or by letter? If it’s the latter, is it truly possible to completely know a person whom you’ve never met in person? Perhaps that’s not even necessary – maybe it simply depends on how you decide to define the term “relationship.”
