A Limerick
Missed Connections in New Hampshire
There once was a man from New York
Whose accent rang true when he talked
I couldn’t help falling
And I hope he’ll be calling
It’s his world that I want to rock.
(alternate endings included a term for a rooster, but decided to go a cleaner route!)

Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
It’s pretty easy to come across a haiku on missed connections, but limericks are a bit rarer (probably a good thing – they’re better in very small doses). Sure, our poem of the day is a bit silly in that rhyming kind of way, but it’s worth a chuckle. Sorry that Quinn’s Clip Art didn’t have a rooster illustration, but I think the Toucan might suffice in getting the message across?

The haiku-center of the missed connections universe seems to shift around a bit – Brooklyn, Chicago, Seattle (I’ve recently found a dozen or so posted there) but limericks are pretty infrequent. Perhaps NH can become the limerick-center of the missed connections universe! 😉 Hope the butterflies are doing well…
