You Weren’t There Again
Missed Connections in Lexington
as I saw what looked to be emeralds floating on the top of tall grass beside a creek.
It turned out to be three mallard ducks, out and about joy riding the recent rain swollen waters.
I decided to stop and watch as they climbed out single file, like kids climbing the bleachers placed in the middle of a gym for a chorus performance.
As their little pumpkin colored webbed feet glazed by water climbed up the bank, one by one they fanned their tail feathers like a Geisha.
You could have helped me word this better but…..
