You Were On A Bike
Missed Connections in Lexington
I was just thinking about how we spoke briefly at the crosswalk this afternoon across from Billy’s BBQ, after the fair.
You bought something for a dollar.
It was very nice have a friendly conversation with a stranger, so thank you for that. 🙂
I hope you enjoyed your ride home.
I wish we could have talked a little longer and didn’t occur to me until you were gone that I might have invited you to walk with me.
Anyhow, it was nice to meet you, maybe we’ll see each other again in the neighborhood.
Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
Lexington, KY is our missed connections featured location today. Like many of the medium-sized feeds from college towns, the flashes of creativity or thoughtfulness tend to be slightly more frequent. So why did I like this message? Two reasons: first, the reminder that it can be nice to have a friendly conversation with a new person (Stranger Danger is smart for small children but we can selectively apply it as adults) and second, I have a “Let’s Get Porked At Billy’s BBQ” t-shirt. It’s a real conversation starter.
