Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:

On first review, I saw this as a standard, inspirational-type poem message. Stumbling across these little gems is a nice change in pace from reading those dealing explicitly with personal relationships. But then I became curious about the title and discovered BEM is the Bossembélé Airport in Central African Republic – a country rich in mineral resources but one of the 10 poorest in Africa. This made me wonder: is our poet originally from or heading to this troubled country and who or what are they missing?
