Star Dust
Missed Connections in Brooklyn
i’m just a sad man who’s squandered
his energy and light
down in the darkness and cold
at night
but every once in a while i flew
i flied and i tried to
find heaven
and in between there was
a glimmer
a subtle simmer
of happiness

Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
While Quinn’s Clip Art provides an almost never ending stream of illustrations for our poem of the day messages, every once in awhile I have to go trolling for royalty-free images to use. This particular one was too perfect to pass up as it reminded me of the opening scene in Tarkovsky’s 1966 film, Andrei Rublev. The line between flying and falling is invisible and ever-shifting.
