While You Were Facebooking
Missed Connections in Athens
The love of your life just passed you a glance.
Yet you making love with your thumbs wouldn’t take the chance.
Not even noticing that I had just walked by..
Makes me think maybe it’s not worth a try.
Maybe I could friend her and be her friend number 952
She’d surely fall for me..
That’s what I’ll do.
If only I could…..
Search for her.
And Find Her Name..
Privacy settings to blame..
Facebook’s so f’ing lame!

Her Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
Technology. It’s makes our lives easier and more difficult all at the same time. While Facebook can be wonderful for reconnecting with friends and family and communicating with folks about the events in our lives, it does train our focus “to the screen” of our device instead of on the world around us. But is it really any different from sitting at a cafe or a bar with a book or a newspaper? Just because a person is reading or Facebooking or knitting or doing whatever doesn’t mean you can’t talk to them. You’ll find out in short order if they want to chat back, right?
