Missed Connections from Buffalo
we could have some fun,
searching for leprechauns,
Hidden treasure and double rainbows.

Her Two Cents
The place I now call home was abandoned for several years before I moved in. The first name of the original owner was Marion. She purchased the home new in 1963 and lived there until her death in the mid-00s. Left unclaimed by surviving relatives was a sewing machine, an old electric laptop organ, and a small collection of classical music 78s. These items offer a small glimpse of the person but the real gems have been revealed as I slowly clear the backyard. A little metal tiger, a larger plaster deer, and a larger plastic cow have been discovered half buried and hidden under ivy, knotweed, and fallen branches. Garden gnomes of various shapes and sizes materialize in the most curious of places to offer smiles and all-knowing winks. I dutifully wash and allow the slowly growing collection to congregate on the kitchen table. I wonder what their history is and where the future will find them. Hidden treasures and magic surround us if we only open our eyes to look and see.
