The bluest eyes, and corn-silk blonde hair, cherry lips,
with a halo over head…
You captivate me. For thirty seconds as you pass,
I’m leveled.
No woman has ever taken me back to
pre-pubescent gawking.
I’m head over, and my ego gets lost in pure astonishment
of such simple beauty.
You turn to cross the street, and catch my look.
Your eyes go down and head turns as if caught off guard or embarrassed,
but your smile glows and stretches as you pass me.
I’m caught still, and before you round the corner you look back, and our eyes meet again.
I’m without words.
I never should have let that time go by, and never said hello.
