Fairy Girl
Missed Connections from Asheville
I think I’ve fallen in love with you.
I don’t know how it happened
but you are the first thing on my mind when I awake
and the last thing before I fall asleep.
I dare not put any information about myself
because you would know who this is.
Her Two Cents
Last night I had the wonderful experience of attending a talk by writer Neil Gaiman in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Stardust. It was a magical evening to say the least, full of suspenseful stories (from the book to be released in June), ruminations on the creative process, dry English humour, and rabid Dr. Who fans. Today message from Asheville reminded me of the poem Gaiman read that closed the evening, The Day the Saucers Came. When the day arrives that the fairies are in your midst, don’t be shuttered in your room writing about your love for them on CraigsList! Get out there and have an adventure!
