For many of us, this is the time of year for long drives on the highways that cross and connect the various states we live in. I was curious to see what a missed connections search on this word would bring and sure enough, there were plenty of messages about momentary glimpses out of speeding windows and various traffic infractions (Thank you, Jersey Shore!) This post from Cape Cod was very different in tone and included a photo of four young people on a sailboat in open water and it made me think about how difficult it would be to search the roads for a loved one who has drifted away. Just something to remember the next time holiday congestion on the roads brings about short tempers in the car…
