The Bottle
Missed Connections from Seattle
I’m walking on the beach today in the beautiful Seattle sunshine with the mountains in the background and sailboats scattered across the tantalizing Alki blue, and who do I see?
Not her! Not the one! Not the woman who is imprinted on my DNA dreams. Not the lyric I’ve been aching to sing all my life!
She’s just not there! She’s still hiding somewhere, still disconnected.
So, the bottle is empty ~ today, like every day, and it will be empty until… she opens her eyes.
Her Two Cents
I’ve recently discovered the music of Japanese Seizure Robots and was completely taken by this time-lapse video of river-front walkers, bikers and boaters (even if it disappears into darkness half-way through). The images and the tone nicely complement this message-in-a-bottle note from Seattle. There might not be any lyrics today, but the song is still full of hope and sunshine.
