Parting The Haze (Maze Of Heart And Mind)
Missed Connections in Maine
Focus slowly coming into contrast,
My view askew no longer.
Enlightment lending sight to the blind;
Introspection rears its’ weary head.
Detritus remains of a life squandered.
Devotion merely a lofty ideal; no faith given.
Pulling apart the marrow to devour the soul,
This emotional malignancy has withered.
I will starve the heart to slay the damned;
Your essence shan’t survive the onslaught.
Carving out your smile; the brain recoils.
You dwell in the house of my heart no more.
Wandering from the twilight of this labyrinth,
The path before me beckons in earnest.
Desire satiated with hopes’ ambrosia kiss,
Perhaps … someday … who knows?

Haze can be many different things depending on your view. It can soften, gently obscure, and provide a sense of calm and quiet. Haze can also cause confusion, fear, and a feeling of being lost in unfamiliar territory. The mazes of life always contain a certain amount of haze. Is it better to embrace the mystery and let nature help us navigate the course or define our paths as quickly as possible in the search for a solution?
