Contrition is sincere and complete remorse for sins one has committed. The remorseful person is said to be contrite.

If you had to pick one word from the dictionary to describe what you’re thinking or feeling at this very moment, what would it be? Instead of “word-of-the-day” calendars that are designed to expand vocabulary, how about reversing the process to daily identifying words that describe our internal landscape? It would certainly expand our self-awareness!
