Missed Connections in Las Vegas
Fragmented (here and now)
Partial incomplete
A battery with one polarity
A circle with an end
Unable to magnetize
Stuck in time
a clock with no hands
Tick tick no tock
Wandering nomadic
Wasteland never ending abandoned
Silhouettes like dead trees in the mist
Memories long past
Footsteps polished smooth by time
Leaving no trace
Searching exploratory
The other half mandala
Spirit always hopeful
Mind always doubtful
Is it curse
Birth life death alone
Complete absolute
Attracted energies collide destiny
Colors combined painters brush
Priceless canvass
Displayed love
Marveled by the universe

A prolific new poet has appeared on the Las Vegas missed connections forum. So far, I’ve collected several poems, similar in style and tone to this one; each accompanied by a very compelling, but uncredited, image. It’s a discovery that has piqued my interest and leaves me wondering if this is a writer’s short-term foray (like 98% of the poetry and creative writing I find) or the beginning of a committed relationship with non-traditional publication…
