Missed Connections in Baltimore
Okay (City Dweller)
I used to jump and play,
didn’t need to remember
that everything was okay
now, when I look close,
I see shades of gray,
now it’s been about
pretending it’s not
slipping away.
Her Two Cents
Sometimes it feels as if the passage of time is a glorious thing: we become bigger, better, smarter, wiser, stronger… but other days, looking in the mirror can send us wanting to scramble back to re-live, re-do, re-energize something that is missing from the present. Is ignoring the ticking of the clock really such a bad thing? While we can’t reverse the years, we can certainly imagine (and create) a future based on a slice of the past we inadvertently left behind.
