Silver bracelet on my wrist, three letters
to my name
and half way between the
trees and the
sea
suddenly caught watching
the past slip away
as time flew
by
but we’d already been to
the stars and
back
a thousand times
before, in our
minds
anyway

time flew by
in our minds
stars, trees, sea
watching the past slip
any way half way away
caught between a name and the
three letters on my silver bracelet

I liked this one. It evoked another poem which I couldn’t put my finger on.
I liked your word play, too. “Watching the past slip any way, half way, away.” That is how it happens, eh? We’re always looking for rhyme and reason, expecting it to be there. Then we stop, and realize what ever it was we were concerned about, is gone.
