“Except for my flaws,
I’m nearly perfect.” She said.
(Call me ‘Imperfect’.)
Who is perfect? Not me for sure. Unless you discount my weaknesses and failings. Then I am made of pure gold.
Just because I don’t scare you away with my ‘total disclosure’ approach doesn’t mean my emotional closet doesn’t have a few spiders and dirt in one of the corners. Luckily they are only house spiders and look frightening, but really aren’t.
The key is to accept others, and ourselves, as mixed baskets of personal qualities. Not every quality or habit we have appeals to every one, but on the whole the good virtues outweigh the imperfections.
I hope. 😉
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and perfectly-imperfect-haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Before you chase away those spiders, email the link to Lovelorn Poets. We’ll preserve your words of disclosure (as well as those closeted bits) for all eternity.
