Have ‘synco’-patience
with yourself, I said to my
jazz pianist friend.
Some days we lose the key, feel out of time, or like we are just missing the beat. Maybe it’s time for a short set break.
We don’t win the prize, or do our very best, or get what we ‘hoped’ for all the time.
No path is all up or down, and no one is perfect in every way for anyone else. We need to accept each other and our selves as we really are, and not as we want each other to be (or feel that we need to hide what we really are from someone else either.)
Turn the page and keep playing, time to get back to making the music.
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and down-beat-style-haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Before you lose yourself in a blue haze, email the link to Lovelorn Poets. We’ll preserve those 5-7-5-to-the-bar-syllabic beats for all eternity.
