I remember the women at the cancer center
their strength, their courage, their wigs
I wonder if they made it
I hope they made it
do they wonder the same about me?
probably not
I’m lucky enough these days
to be able to meet hair donation requirements
so many inches in length with little or no gray
and sometimes I’ll read about men sending dick pics to women
if only more men would donate their hair
there’s no greater joy
walking into a hair salon
and saying to the stylist
do you think I have 10 inches?
