The heart pumps blood through the body’s circulatory system supplying oxygen and nutrients to tissue. It removes carbon dioxide and other wastes. This organ is at work 24/7 and never stops. Without the hard work of this organ, life begins to cease with every passing second. To the contrary, as the brain or any other organ show signs of degradation the heart doesn’t recognize it as complete failure but instead as speculated by doctors, compensates by pumping faster in attempt to deliver more oxygen and rejuvenate life. One has to wonder if this is why we refer to the heart when it comes to love. It knows no faults as irreparable and fights for everything that matters. with exercise, the brain will shut down and accept that we can’t do anymore, but the heart remains poised and able. Another human can help manipulate and change the brain’s process but the heart will always remain focused. It’s my belief that the heart is our unsung hero that offers many examples we should translate in our daily lives. The heart, that’s one amazing organ.
