No need to wait more
hoping that good luck’s coming.
There’s only today.
The Buddha prank phone called me (again) this morning.
(I recognized his voice.)
He laughed at me and shouted. “See it as it really is!” and, “(My) attachment is suffering”
and hung up before I could shout back.
I know what he’s getting at: We cause our own pain by hoping for what we don’t have,
instead of making the best of what we do have. Fair enough.
‘Easier said than done, Siddhartha.’ Especially when we feel that we ‘need’ what is missing; and not just want it real real bad.
So I am trying it:
This is my life today.
This is my job today.
This is my home today.
This is my face (everyday).
This is my story today. This is it.
No suffering about my dog, though. Best dog EVER.
