It is a wonder
the big effect from haiku
written to strangers.
If you have been reading these for the past few years,
then you know something about me.
I cook, I sleep, and play with my dog.
And I explore the world through love goggles I wear full time.
I’m not phishing, or trolling, or taking names.
You do not know me in real life;
don’t believe it if you read it from others either.
I am only real at home and work, and I am not the ex of anyone here.
I’m not here for that.
Love and hope and determination are my motivators.
Honesty and clarity the prizes I seek.
Like a rock climber who is halfway between the top and the bottom,
there are only brief rests before taking the next step.
My fingers waiting to unclench.
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad and wonder-full-haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Before you put on (or take off) the goggles of love, email the link to Lovelorn Poets! We’ll preserve those next-step-syllables for all eternity.
