This morning, with the windows open
and the sheer curtains rippling in the breeze,
I caught a glimpse of you in bed–lying naked
in the crease of where I had been sleeping;
and, this afternoon, under a cloudless sky,
I thought I saw you curled-up in the window
blowing smoke into the sunlight. But, it was
only this evening, as I sat here watching
the sun lay down behind the Magnolia tree,
that I saw your shadow dance across the
ceiling as though you might be real.

Magnolia
this afternoon, I saw your shadow dance across the ceiling
I had been sleeping lying naked in bed with the windows open
and the sheer curtains rippling in the breeze,
into this evening, blowing smoke and watching the sun lay down
under a cloudless sky
I thought I caught a glimpse of you
behind the only tree,
as of this morning, I curled-up in the window
in the crease where the sunlight sat
but, it was here
that I saw you as though you might be real
