We are all looking
for something real in our lives
and hope it is here.
Many good and kind and sincere people stop here
looking for something (or someone) they might have just missed
along the way.
There is always the chance that they find it.
I think that is good and natural and healthy.
Everyone wants to be happy, and loved, and wanted.
It is ok to want to be desired and appreciated, if it is not a wish
to have something that is not fair, or honest or not beneficial for the world.
Money or time can sometimes be freely given,
and not confused as an exchange for security, intimacy or Love.
Those gifts can express caring, selfless concern, or commitment, sharing
and understanding, and strengthen bonds when given freely and without strings.
I have read in books that can happen.
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad and looking-for-love-haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Before you reach for that self-help book, email the link to Lovelorn Poets. We’ll preserve those sincerely-searching-syllables for all eternity.
