It used to be Mary Oliver.
Then Elizabeth Bishop.
Then Langston Hughes and Tennessee Williams, we could sit on the cape and read poems til our hearts content.
Maybe Mary Gordon had it right all along.
Or was it Eileen Myles?

Since starting Lovelorn Poets, I’ve used an RSS reader to monitor all the various Craigslist Missed Connections feeds (InoReader is my current reader of choice). The benefit of using a reader is that a good amount to body text is presented and that’s helpful in determining if the post is one to visit online and save. Another benefit of the reader is that the text presents itself even if the post is removed. In this case, the Vermont poem was flagged and could not be viewed on the forum, but I was able to save it directly from the reader. 🙂
