There’s a quaint little boulevard in the back of my mind
where one can see such
treasures
each item encased in a box with a glass window
displaying a sign that says
do not
disturb
containing not only objects and treasures
but the actual air from that
particular time
period
air saturated with the original scents
of the day and like an
exotic rare
perfume
one is instantly transported back
to a place that doesn’t
exist
anymore

Another great found poem from mindgallery and the Brooklyn Missed Connections. Scientists have said that the air is cleaner now than it was before the coronavirus – so I guess if we were to open a box of air from January it actually might smell very different. I guess this is one good thing (albeit short-lived, I’m sure) to come from this time.
