When the COVID situation gets me down, I think of everything I’m going to do once the pandemic is over. One of the things I miss most is having impromptu social interactions – grabbing a post-yoga juice with your favorite teacher, chatting with your neighborhood bartender while waiting for friends to arrive, birthday parties and cookouts and going to see live music. It’s the meaning and importance of these connections that I often contemplate – as flights of fancy are so hard to come by right now.

Another week comes to a close, and with it, new levels of head-shaking craziness appear. But instead of focusing on the negativity and uncertainty, let’s take a closer look at the objects, people, and environments we’ve forgotten about. At least for the weekend. The craziness will be there waiting for us when Monday returns.
