We are each others missed connection.
We could be so great together, and we both can just feel it inside… I hate that I am not a part of your life, of your world. I think about you thousands of times each and every day… I wish you would, I wish you could…choose me. We both deserve to be happy, don’t we? Oh how often I imagine what that life must be like in that parallel dimension……

Her Two Cents on I wish we could “lay like broccoli”

This is the first MC I’ve found which incorporates a reference to a vegetable. If one were to look closely at a full head of broccoli, you’d see the crowns nestled between the stalks and leaves – fitting well and looking quite comfortable. Perhaps this is what our lovelorn Nashville poet was referencing by the phrase “lay like broccoli?” Hopefully the cauliflower isn’t too upset about being passed over…

Gentle Readers: Robert Nunnally’s “Broccoli Looks Harmless” made me smile as this often maligned vegetable really is a great nutritional fighter.  If you were to describe yourself as a vegetable, which one would you pick – and why?  (Secret revelation: the Chief Bottle Finder would describe herself as spinach.)

Later, you came by me once more, checking out what was in my buggy, and smiled again with some good eye contact. Gosh, I wish I just stopped ya. Who Are YOU?

Well, cute fish buying girl will be coming around again next Tuesday for her rainbow trout 🙂

Here’s another in our ever growing list of Supermarket Stories!  We follow yesterday’s bird-girl with a little fish-girl (not planned, just kind of happened… that’s the beauty of Creative Commons, you never know what you’re going to find from one day to the next). I love the features in this creature by Theo Junior – beautiful and scary and dark but sensual all at the same time.

Gentle Readers: Perhaps it all depends on where you live, but I have to admit that I’ve never come across ANYONE in my local grocery store – worker, shopper, bottle-deposit returner, or otherwise – who caught my eye for any reason. What about you? What’s your local grocery store like? Is it full of beautiful, happy people inspecting the fresh produce and one another – or is it something a little less sexy?

i made mention of it and you smiled – so cute – but by the time i figured out that i should have engaged you more, you had disappeared down some cereal aisle or another.
i hope you made it out safely.
i’m sure the chances of a) you actually reading this and b) you being open to getting to know a complete stranger are about as good as the chances of me winning the powerball, but i’ve been told that you can’t win if you don’t play.

Her Two Cents on The Safeway Encounter

So here were are with yet another grocery store poet reaching out to someone with “the most beautiful blue eyes.” What I liked about this little message was its reference to rolling dice. While there’s  no shortage of good songs referencing dice, I wanted to find a unique piece of art that spoke to this – and Kat Masback’s math as art piece caught my attention. Hopefully blue eyes is in there somewhere…
