I wish I could just hear your laugh
I never told you how I felt, I just held it in.
I never told you how I truly feel- and that I want us to be more than just friends.
I was always afraid of your response.
I don’t think I can take the rejection, as well as the loss of the friendship.
I honestly don’t know what to do, but this feeling consumes my every thought.
I wish I could just hear your laugh once more…
From the Missed Connections Chief Bottle Finder: I think this lovelorn Austin poet should pick up the phone or get a Skype account. Even if the person is “just a friend” there’s no reason not to try to keep in touch. You can hear that laugh again if you really want to and are willing to be proactive about it!

My Dog Almost Peed on Your Dog
It was today, around 5 or 5:30pm.
You were at the park exercising, wearing black and had a black hat on.
I was relaxing on a blanket in the shade.
Our dogs ran over to meet each other and we both watched as my dog nearly peed on yours!
We laughed it off and exchanged a few words.
You stopped to talk to me for a minute as you were leaving.
I said our dogs were fast friends and we talked about how they were getting older.
As you walked away I was wishing that we had talked for longer.
Reply if you see this and maybe we can get our dogs together sometime…

The colors and textures are so lifelike – almost as if I could feel the dog’s fur in my hands or the woman’s knit cap on my head. I can only hope that our lovelorn Austin poet has this vibrant of an experience at the dog-park.

Sunday the 10th you were at Ginny’s Little Longhorn Saloon.
You were wearing a short skirt and boots. You had lighter hair with cropped bangs and amazing blueish eyes I’m pretty sure.
(I’m colorblind haha!)
You had smiled at me a few times but you were with some guy with tattoos who you were way too cute for so never talked to you.
I don’t know your name but I know how bright your eyes light up.
I don’t know your story but I know how your smile made me reflect one back.
I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again but I figured I’d give this a shot and I’ll just deal with all the spam and fakes.
I think the sacrifice may be worth the gains!
