Bow strikes the strings and the music starts
Hand of fate, hands of time
Reds, orange, yellows and a crisp blue beyond
I try to tell you
Again and again
I come back for you
Over and over
A cool wind knows why
It’s an even road
We bring everything but ourselves
It’s lovely, impossible
All that we wished for
Against the palms of our almost, touching hands
Her Two Cents
September signifies ends and beginnings in our collective consciousness: summer into autumn, vacation ends and school begins, light fades and greens turn to red, yellow, and brown. This quote from C.S. Lewis was making the rounds on social media earlier today, and gently speaks to those finding themselves not quite ready to begin this new month… “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
