If I start hanging out at grocery stores, will men be captivated by me and seek me out on missed connections?
Apparently, the typical bar scene isn’t feelin’ it, but left and right are guys lusting after that chick they saw eying a mango or something in her gym clothes.
I like to look at mangoes.
I pick out ripe avocado sometimes and luvs me some banana.
I’m going to go check my theory and casually shop on a Saturday night in sneakers and jeans rather than get my drinking game on in heels and something strapless.
Given the number of missed connections messages that involve grocery stores or shopping, I can understand why our Salt Lake City poet is thinking of trading in the stilettos and signature cocktails for jeans and produce. Most people do need food to eat (unless you’re a 20-something residing in Williamsburg) so occasional trips to the market are necessary. The additional benefit is that grocery stores are very well lit (unlike bars and clubs) so you’re guaranteed to know exactly what you’re getting! 😉
