From Anchorage to Zebulon: In Search of Missed Connections
Note: This missed connection haiku-like poem was posted in response to the Master Barista Haiku featured last Tuesday.
I thought it was the most beautiful haiku i’ve ever read.
It inspired me to write this:
orange pumpkins in the sky
fall into my latte
like you
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and pumpkins-falling-from-the-sky haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Put a lid on that over-priced beverage and email the link to Lovelorn Poets so we can preserve those inspired syllables for all eternity. Juicy new haiku bits are always wanted.
I thought of you all day,
and decided to write you a haiku about my feelings.
Hopefully this will inspire you to write back to me,
and we can sing poetry together in the near future.
You never fail to
be my hot chocolate when
the rain is falling
I will come in everyday and order from you;
you steam my milk so perfectly.
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and barista-infatuation haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Be sure to tip well and email the link to Lovelorn Poets. We’ll preserve those tall, grande, and venti-sized syllables for all eternity. Juicy new haiku bits are always wanted.
I’m haiku rusty.
Twirling and spilling
Webb danced his dumbness
tequila spins him
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and tequila-infused-sloppy-drunk-dancing haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Put down the shot glass and email the link to Lovelorn Poets. We’ll preserve those inebriated syllables for all eternity. Juicy new haiku bits are always wanted.
When i looked up in the sky
i saw my sunshine
It once was
No longer does it shine
But how i dream
Missed Connections are filled with good, bad, and sunny-day-dreamin’ haiku. Did you write one? Did you find one? Just email the link to Lovelorn Poets so those carefully counted syllables can be preserved for all eternity. Juicy new haiku bits are always wanted.
